11+ Wirral
There are six grammar schools on the Wirral. Four of the grammar schools use the Wirral Admissions Test, two use their own 11 plus exam. There is one further grammar school in the area, in Liverpool. Details of which can be found on our 11+ Liverpool page.
The Wirral Admissions Test is provided by Quest Assessments. All questions are multiple choice format and answers are recorded on an Optical Mark Reading (OMR) answer sheet which is marked by computer. Each of the two papers contains questions in Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning and Mathematics. Each paper will take about an hour to complete including the instructions being read out by the invigilator. Scores will be age standardised.
